NOTES

  1. All weight allowances checked and correct, with the "Weights" column adjusted accordingly.
  2. Swanky Guide’s form figures are incomplete at present - there’s still a victory at Catterick over 2 miles to unearth (among other things) from before this season.
  3. The Wetherby race on October 12th is writ large in the annals of High Crossett history, as this was the race in which Swanky Guide took on no less a star than Red Rum! Rummy, then twelve, was having his second race of the season in preparation for his eventually aborted attempt to win the 1978 Grand National. Geoff was at Wetherby representing one of Swanky’s five opponents that day (Rummy himself perhaps?) - if he’d only known then that he and Ted would be on the same team two decades later!
  4. Ebnalben DID make his debut sometime during this season, but we’re still to confirm where and when.
